Orange Belt Requirements

Signifies the sun and its warmth which enables a plant to root and grow much
like the student, whose Tae Kwon Do foundation roots and begins to grow.

 
 
 

POOMSE: Dan Gun - Named after the legendary founder of Korea in the year 2333 BC.

COMBOS: The side kick or Yup chagi will be the kick to master.
  1. Skip ax kick, level II round kick, level II round kick.
  2. Skip front kick, level II front kick, Level III Front Kick.
  3. Skip round kick, level II round kick, spinning back kick.
  4. Skip side kick, 1-2 punch, spinning back kick.
Footwork
  • Sliding - While in a sparring stance shift the student pushes off with his back foot, and slides both feet forward trying to maintain a shoulder width space between both feet.
  • Skipping - The student slides his rear foot to his front foot, then skips the front foot forward.
Hands:
  • Knife Hand
  • Hammer Fist
SELF-DEFENSE - An orange belt should become proficent with escapes and releases from front body holds.

BOARD BREAK - Level II (rear leg) side kick.
